Starstruck-style puzzles, free in your browser

If you play Starstruck in Netflix Puzzled or in a Starstruck app, you already know this game: one star in every row, column and region, and no two stars can touch. Here the regions are outlined shapes instead of colours. The board above is today's, and there are many more below.

Whether you search for "starstruck game" or "star struck game", the puzzle underneath is a Star Battle, which has been around since 2003. Once one star feels easy, try the daily 10×10 with two stars.

How to play

  1. Place one star in every row and every column.
  2. Place one star in every region.
  3. Stars can't touch, not even diagonally.

Every board has exactly one solution, and logic alone will get you there. Stuck? The Hint button shows the next move and explains why it works.

    Is this the Starstruck game from Netflix Puzzled?
    No. This is an independent site with its own puzzles, and it has no connection to Netflix or to any Starstruck app. The rules are the same: one star in every row, column and region, and stars never touch.

    Do I need a subscription or an app?
    No. Everything here plays in your browser, for free, with no account and no download.

    Can I play more than one puzzle a day?
    Yes. There is a new daily board here, plus a library of more than a hundred one-star boards in Easy, Medium and Hard.

    What is this puzzle called?
    It is a Star Battle with one star per line, a logic puzzle created for the 2003 World Puzzle Championship. LinkedIn calls the same format Queens.
