About the daily Star Battle

Every day brings one new 10×10 puzzle with two stars per row, column and region. It is the same format The New York Times calls Two Not Touch. Each date also has a 5×5, an 8×8 and a 14×14, so you can warm up or take on something bigger.

The week follows a simple curve: Monday and Tuesday are easy, Wednesday to Friday are medium, and Saturday and Sunday are hard. New to the game? Learn the rules in a minute, or browse all puzzles by level.

When does the daily Star Battle change?

At midnight on your device. Everyone gets the same puzzle for the same date.

Can I play yesterday's puzzle?

Yes. Past puzzles stay free. Open the Play page to see this week's boards.

How hard is the daily puzzle?

Monday and Tuesday are easy, Wednesday to Friday are medium, and Saturday and Sunday are hard. Every puzzle has one solution and needs no guessing.
