About 5×5 Star Battle
The 5×5 board is where everyone should start. You place one star in every row, column and region, five stars in all, and they can never touch. With so little room, each star you place rules out a big piece of the board, so you can see the logic work in real time.
Only 14 star layouts are legal on a 5×5 grid at all. That makes these puzzles quick, usually a minute or two, and perfect for learning how the rules push against each other before you move up.
