About 10×10 Star Battle
The 10×10 with two stars per line is the classic Star Battle, the format used at puzzle championships and the one The New York Times publishes as Two Not Touch. Twenty stars, ten regions, and two stars to fit into every row, column and region.
Two stars change how you think. A region can hide one star in a line and the other somewhere else, so counting becomes the main tool: if two rows need four stars and two regions fit entirely inside them, everything else in those rows is out. Our daily puzzle uses this format.
